Melissa Summerville Ryan – TETB community education tutor – developed a work shop for International womens Day based on Frida Kahlo a self portrait artist from Mexico who paved the way for Women artist to outwardly display their pains and frustrations and make steps towards understanding them.

Our TETB learners were engaged in an opportunity to paint Frida Kahlo’s self portrait to pay tribute to a strong female Artist.  As the pictures demonstrate it turned into a very enjoyable event celebrating women and their artistic enthusiasms.
