Congratulations to Transition Year Student Meibh Maher

A big congratulations to Meibh Maher, Transition Year, who has been selected by Basketball Ireland for their Ireland Under 17 Women’s Development Squad. Thirty four players have been selected and for Meibh to be part of this squad is a tremendous achievement of which the school is very proud. Meibh is a key player on the Scoil Ruáin’s basketball teams and we wish her success as she embarks on this new chapter of her basketball career.

Congratulations to Past Pupil James O’Connell

We would like to congratulate James O’Connell on his recent success in winning the prestigious European Muay Thai title. This win has given James a ranking in the world’s top ten featherweights and the right to fight for the vacant WBC World Championships. We congratulate James on his successes to date and wish him every success in the future.

Scoil Ruain Gym Information

Start off 2017 on the right foot by joining Scoil Ruáin’s state of the art Gym. Shane Kenny is the gym’s sports and fitness instructor. Shane is currently running classes both day and evening to suit everyone’s lifestyle with both group and one-to-one sessions catered for. Courses starting in January 2017

“Learning for Life” and “Helping your Child with the New Project Maths” Courses

Basic literacy and numeracy, computers and help with filling out forms are amongst the topics covered in the Learning for Life programme. In order to help your child with their maths homework a Maths Course has been specifically designed to guide parents through the new programme. It will guide you through the new course and will give you very practical ways to help your child with their maths homework.
