Soccer

The 1st year soccer team played Carrick on Suir CBS in the Munster cup in what transpired to be an outstanding game of football. Despite having home advantage, it was the visitors Carrick that applied the early pressure and opened the scoring to lead 1-0 at the break. Following the resumption, Charlie Yates score a well taken goal to equalize for Coláiste Mhuire, but the elation was short lived as Carrick pounced again to lead 2-1. The remaining 15 minutes was a tentative and tense affair but ultimately the day belonged to Carrick who triumphed on a 2-1 scoreline. Best for Coláiste Mhuire were Jack Kennedy, Daniel Donnelly, Eoin Craddock, Charlie Yates, Gavin Ryan and Aaron Hickey.

 Biology Practicals Days

Our 6th year Biology students attended The Leaving Cert Biology Practicals Day in the University of Limerick on Friday 13th January. The practical session featured 18 Leaving Cert Biology practicals and it was an excellent revision opportunity for our students, as they were afforded the chance to undertake the practical experiments using the state-of-the art facilities in the Biology laboratories. It also gave the students an insight into life as a university student, creating an added impetus to strive and attain their full potential!
