Pictured in the photo are the u19 soccer team of Coláiste Mhuire Co-Ed Thurles in jubilant form following their superb victory over Millstreet College from Cork in the Munster quarter final. Both sides delivered an exhibition of skill in fully committed performances and despite playing 120 minutes could not be separated with scores one goal apiece, David Manning having been on the mark for Coláiste Mhuire. The match finished 1-1 after extra time which subsequently led to penalties. With Gary Delaney in excellent form saving three penalties, it was left to Shane Ryan who scored the winning penalty with composure to see Mr. Fahy & Mr. Butler’s team progress to the Munster semi final. We wish them all the best!

Trip to Butlers Chocolate Factory

Our Transition Year class ventured off to Butler’s Chocolate factory in Dublin as part of their Business Enterprise Class last week and viewed operations. This was a tremendous experience for students & staff as they deemed it most worthwhile to see first hand a successful enterprise in operation, which also included a grand tour followed by a questions & answers session.

Suir Haven Coffee Morning

Well done to our LCA students on a very successful Coffee Morning that was organised last week in Coláiste Mhuire. This event was well attended by PLC students & staff and raised a considerable sum for Suir Haven. Maith sibh go léir!

French Day

The French Department at Coláiste Mhuire ran a thoroughly enjoyable French Morning last week in which our students were treated to a French film and French cuisine. Feedback was most positive from all involved as croissants went down a treat. Les escargots, on this occasion, were given a miss however!
