Tipperary Education and Training Board and Killaloe Ballina Family Resource Centre is delighted to present its first ‘Strong Women in the Community’ Self-Portrait Exhibition in the ‘Bridge’ Ballina on 20^th September to celebrate Culture Night.

This Self Portrait exhibition is the first of its kind for the community education service and it incorporates a range of self-portrait pieces created by 10 women who have come together to develop this project with their Tutor Melissa Sommerville Ryan. At their most basic these self-portraits pieces are a likeness of the artist themselves but these portraits encapsulate a meaningful expression of the artist’s creative journey from blank canvas to the artist’s creative points of self.

Entry to the Strong Women Exhibition is FREE and all community members are welcome to join us for the Exhibition Launch on September 20^th at 7pm sharp in the Bridge, Ballina, Co Tipperary
