Templemore College Embraces Diversity

January 21, 2020

TCFE students from the Applied Social Studies and Advanced Administration courses came together recently to host Templemore College’s Diversity Day. The aim of the event was to highlight and welcome diversity in the college in an informal setting. It featured students showcasing different cultures and interests, Tipperary Youth Services and Tipperary Advocacy Support Group for Autism, Dsylexia and ADHD making aware their services. The college’s own Health and Wellness Department hosted an information stand on the benefits of various treatments on offer such as Aromatherapy, reflexology, indian head massage. Some of the other topics showcased on the day included, Hungarian Food, Korean Make Up, Vegan food, Latvian Desserts, Irish crafts and sports, as well as South African food.

This was a fantastic event for the students of Templemore College to participate in. A lovely morning was had by all and Tipp FM’s Jim Finn was also there to broadcast from the event. Well done to all involved and in particular to the Applied Social Studies and Advanced Administration students who organised such a worthwhile and successful event.
