Tipp FM Presenter visits Media Students

Keith Fahey – Tipp FM recently visited the Media Students at Templemore College and gave them an insight into the career of a Radio Presenter. This was a very beneficial talk and the students obtained alot of information from Keith.

Intercultural Day

Social Studies students facilitated an ‘Intercultural Day’ in Templemore College on Wednesday last. The students prepared an array of informative displays on Egyptian dress, culture, food and beliefs. They also cooked Egyptian cuisine for everyone to sample and enlisted the help of makeup artistry students to demonstrate Egyptian makeup. The students clearly put a lot of effort into the preparations for this interesting day. Well done to all involved!

St. Patricks Day Float

Congratulations to all involved in the production and participation of our College float for the local St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Templemore. A great day was had by all and the float won a prize!
This is the first time in the history of the PLC College to enter a float in the parade. The theme was ‘Suffragettes’ – the empowerment and liberation of women over 100 years ago and the importance of education as a weapon for change…
