Open Evening

Open Evening will take place on Thursday, 22nd November 7pm-9pm. Come and view the extensive facilities our school has to offer and meet with staff and students and let them answer your questions. Mr. James Williams will make a presentation at 8.15pm. Students in 5th & 6th classes are welcome with parents/guardians.

University College Dublin Scholarship Award Winners

Congratulations to Matthew Hunter and Naeema Paget who have received scholarships from University College Dublin. Matthew is receiving the ‘Academic High Achiever’ scholarship and Naeema is receivng the ‘UCD Cothrom na Féinne’ scholarship. Matthew is studying Medicine and Naeema is studying Nursing and their awards were presented on Thursday 15th November 2018. Congratulations again and we are very proud of your great achievements.

Transition Year Show “Back to the 80’s”

Congratulations to Scoil Ruain‘s cast on their production of ‘Back to the 80s’. Two nights of toe-tapping, clapping and sing-alongs. This would not have been possible with Ms. Tobin, Ms. Jordan and our wonderful TY students. Our local primary schools were treated to a matinee performance on Friday 16th November. They greatly enjoyed the show also.

Short Story Winners

Congratulations to all 1st years who completed the Halloween short story competition. The winners of the competition were Jacob O’Brien, Lucy Harney and Erin Bolger.

Basketball

Well done to our Cadet team who beat Coláiste na Tairbhirte on a scoreline of 46-21 in the u16 cup. Top scorers included Isabelle Hayden with 9 baskets and Jessica Strappe and Niamh Hayes with 3 baskets each. Well done girls.
