TRIP TO OLD TRAFFORD

Students from Coláiste Mhuire Co-Ed Thurles were treated to a fantastic weekend recently as they made the journey to Manchester to watch Manchester United take on Huddersfield Town in a Premiership clash. The group also enjoyed a tour of the world famous stadium and facilities. As an added bonus most of the group being Man. Utd. fans jubilantly witnessed their team win 2-0!

CYCLE AGAINST SUICIDE CHALLENGE

Well done to everyone who took part in the Cycle Against Suicide Challenge last week at Coláiste Mhuire in the assembly area. Stamina & fitness was tested among staff as teachers cycled for ten minutes slots on stationary bikes to raise awareness of mental health issues. A huge thanks to Ms. Byrne for organising this event.

RETIREMENT

We wish Mr. Jimmy Dunne all the best for the future in his retirement from teaching. The ever popular Mr. Dunne, synonymous with the Woodwork Department, will be sorely missed by his colleagues and equally by his students for his professionalism, his friendship, wit & one-liners that endeared him to all. Drop in any time to do a bit of subbing! Go n-éirí go geal leat a Shéamais sa todhchaí, uainne go léir anseo sa Choláiste!
