What is the Tipperary Education & Training Board Digital Citizenship Programme?
A vision of our national Further Education and Training (FET) strategy – Future FET: Transforming Learning – includes actions that will ‘empower learners to participate fully in society and to become active citizens, and drive vibrant and diverse communities’. One of the enabling themes of this strategy is digital transformation which aims to offer ’ flexible and technology enabled opportunities that can be availed of by a diverse array of potential learners, including those in employment’.
The Digital Citizenship Programme in Tipperary ETB is part of this strategy and the overall aim is to address the digital divide in our communities.
