Nenagh College Students attend Describing Architecture Expo

October 29, 2015

On Thursday 22nd October. Ms Beirne and twelve students from Nenagh College travelled to participate in the Describing Architecture exhibition and workshop being held in the City Assembly House and Powerscourt Townhouse, South William Street, Dublin 2.

Students engaged in a tour with curator Antoin Doyle and textile artist Dee Harte where their Mapestry creation is on display. This week and next the public can appreciate the hand stitched tapestry on Linen union fabric on wooden stretcher. It represents the interwoven life of the school showing students’ routes and activities. The venue was steeped in Georgian history and very inspiring. Congratulations to all students and staff involved in this Percent forArt project which will be on permanent display in Nenagh College.
