Amber Committee

The Amber Committee meet every week at lunch and we use this time to discuss issues relevant to the students lives. Being well and working to maintain mental health is their objective. Last Tuesday they went on their annual walk. They went to Centra where they got lunch and then went to relax in the Community Garden. Ms O Keeffe would like to thank the group for their attendance all year.

5LCA end of year trip.

Ms O’ Keeffe the 5LCA co-ordinator took her students on an end of year trip to Limerick, where they all thoroughly enjoyed a fun filled day.

Students took part in bowling, activities and a buffet lunch in the Jasmine Palace.  Andrea and Kedra were delighted to win the bowling as a result of some very high scores.

Students worked very hard during the year and decided to use the income from their enterprise salon day and their darts tournament to subsidise their end of year trip. Well done to all of them who have worked so hard over the year.

Safe Tractor Skills Course

Our Agricultural Science students completed the safe tractor skills course in glorious sunshine on Monday last. Tom Duffy from the Farm Relief Services Roscrea delievered the theory and practical aspects of tractor safety to the students on site at Nenagh College. Thanks to Sean Kinnane from Abbey Machinery for providing us with the tractor and tank for the students to practice their driving skills. This certified course was part funded by the school as it’s commitment to raising awareness among the students on farm safety.
