Scoil Ruáin’s Talent Show

Scoil Ruáin held a Talent Show on Friday 8th February 2019. The Talent Show was organised by Ms. Tobin Gleeson and her Senior 1 LCVP class as part of their Action Project for their portfolio. We had a range of performances including classical instrumental music, lip syncing, pop singing, Irish dancing, rapping, group ensembles etc. Even the “Backstreet Boys” made a guest appearance to a rapturous applause. We would like to congratulate anybody who took to the stage for the first time last Friday and hope they had great fun. After a fun filled afternoon, the judges made their decisions. In a joined 3rd place came Maria Hayes (piano) and Gerard McGrath (Joe Dolan Tribute), runner up was Danny Gleeson with a solo guitar and voice performance, while Katelyn Reilly came out as the winner with her performance of ‘Nuvole Bianche’ by Enaudi.

Well done to all who performed, the Senior 1 LCVP class and Ms. Tobin Gleeson on providing the student body with a fun filled afternoon showcasing some of the talent we have here in Scoil Ruáin

Scoil Ruáin’s Students Success with South Tipperary U14 Team

Congratulations to five of Scoil Ruáin’s students who played on the South Tipperary U14 team which won the inter-provisional cup on Saturday beating North Tipperary.

The students are Fionn Fitzgerald, Finn Nolan, Alex Greene, Oisin Shelley & Nathan Barrett.

Congratulations to First Year Football Team

Congratulations to Scoil Ruain’s 1st Year football team who won the 1st Year Football Blitz which was held in Dr. Morris Park, Thurles on Thursday 14^th. Captain was Sam Rowan with Luke Ryan winning Man of the Match. Congratulations to Mr. Frank Kearney who trained the team.
