PLC Graduation Night at Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré

On Thursday, 5th May the PLC sector of the College enjoyed their Graduation ceremony having completed programmes in Business Technology, Advanced Admin with HR, Healthcare Support, Nursing Studies, Early Childhood and Community Development.  The Principal, Michael O’Connor and PLC co-ordinator, Mary McGrath congratulated all students on completing their studies and wished them every success in their future careers.  Attendance awards were presented to students who obtained 100% attendance during their programmes. The guest speaker for the evening was Colleen O’Sullivan, Manager RehabCare, Thurles.  Colleen expressed her delight that the College is due to start a new Social and Community Care programme in September.  She recognised the absolute need for graduates with this qualification and acknowledged the existing labour shortages in the area.  Colleen attested to the high level of skills and standards of students completing courses in Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré, indeed, some of our past students from the Healthcare Support programme have been recruited by her.
