Soccer Updates

There are exciting times ahead for soccer in Scoil Ruáin. Our u19s have the Munster John Murphy Senior Cup to look forward to next week against Colaiste Mhuire, Buttevant. The boys defeated Kilmallock 3-2 in a hard fought game with goals from Rhys Shelly (2) and Kyle Shelly. Our u15s are also in action next week in a Munster Semi-final when they travel to face Killorglin. The u15s have put in some fine performances so far this season. Meanwhile the first years are awaiting results from other groups having topped their group in the Collins Cup with two commanding performances.

Cadet B Basketball Team through to All-Ireland Final

Congratulations to Scoil Ruáin’s Cadet ‘B’ team who won the All Ireland Semi- Final v Middleton in UL on Wednesday 9^th Januará on a score line on 49-44. Top scorers included Jess Strappe and Ava Heffernan with 8 points and Izzy Hayden with an impressive 16 points. The final will take place in the National Basketball Stadium in Tallaght, Dublin. Congratulations again to the team and their coaches Sean O’Regan and Rebecca Hayden.
