Active Schools Week

Scoil Ruáin participated in Active Schools Week from 8th to 11th May. The week was co-ordinated by the school’s Sport Department and amongst the events organised during the week included First years “Drop Everything and Move” each morning, Dodgeball, Spikeball, Badminton and Rounders tournaments. The week concluded on Friday with a 1st and 2nd Year Parish Tug of War Competition where a healthy rivalry among local parish groups ensured great excitement. Killenaule South Team were victorious in the finish. The week concluded with the Transition Year Lacrosse Tournament. It was a very enjoyable week for all who participated and we would like to thank the Sports Department for all the time and commitment they gave to organising such a successful week of events.

School Music Recital

The school Music Recital took place on Thursday 10th May. Here all the musical talent from the school was on display for all to see. It was a very enjoyable evening of song, dance and instrumental music. Well over 80 students came on stage at various times during the night to perform and display their wonderful talents. We would like to give a special word of thanks to Ms. Adrienne Cunningham for organising such an enjoyable evening’s entertainment. Well done again to all involved.
