Many thanks to the staff of Cabragh Wetlands on facilitating this trip and making the occasion a thoroughly enjoyable learning experience.
Rockwell Football Tournament:
Last Wednesday saw our U14 footballers take part in the annual Rockwell Gaelic football tournament. The opening encounter pitted us against CTI Clonmel that saw us triumph on a 6-10 to 3-05 scoreline. We followed this up with victories against Newport College and High School Clonmel. Having consequently qualified for the final we faced a formidable Cahir Dún Iascaigh side that capitalised on their opportunities in a close & pulsating final. At the final whistle we succumbed to the opposition but can take positives from an excellent panel of 1st & 2nd year students who played superbly and will no doubt build on this experience for future competitions!
Robotics:
A number of students from TY and 5th year ventured off to Galway City last week to partake in the All-Ireland Sumo Robot Competition at The Radisson Blue hotel for second level schools. The standard was extremely high and the experience was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance. They are photographed displaying their Sumo Robots and enjoying the Galway sunshine!
