Trip to Old Trafford

Our 1st & 2nd year students enjoyed the trip of a lifetime when they ventured across to Old Trafford to attend the Premiership match between Man United and Bournemouth. The group along with members of staff also undertook a guided tour of the famous Old Trafford stadium viewing trophies and other memorabilia from past & present. Students were afforded the opportunity to avail of some shopping in Manchester and while Man United didn’t win, feedback from the group as a whole was most positive and deemed to be a brilliant experience by all.

Gaelic Football

Well done to our U15 Gaelic football team on their superb victory over St. Joseph’s College Borrisoleigh in the School’s county championship fixture at Coláiste Mhuire grounds last Friday. This was an evenly balanced contest with no more than a single score seperating both teams for most of the match. Some very good interplay between our forwards following some well won possession in defence, culminated with a late flurry of scores that put daylight between us and resulted in a scoreline of 4-08 to 4-01 for Coláiste Mhuire. Team & scorers:  Darragh Kelly, T.J. Carroll, Conor Ryan, Cian Hevey, Ódhrán Donaghy,Luke Galvin, Eoin Craddock, Seán Ryan (1-0), Jack Murphy (0-01), Danny Slattery, Jack Keogh (0-03), Jack Fitzgerald (1-02), Daniel Donnelly, Caylum Gooney, Tom Reilly (2-02), Shane Turner, David Doyle.

County Athletics:

Congratulations to 1st year student Armand Schoeman on his excellent victory in the minor boys 60 metres hurdles at the indoor county athletics finals in Nenagh.
