CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to our minor cross country team of Gavin Ryan, Eoin Craddock, Luke Galvin, Nathan Jordan, Cillian Crosse and Adam Fanning on their excellent performance in the East Munster Championships that took place in Waterford IT. Running over a distance of 2.5km and pitted against the very best of opposition we achieved the silver team medal and will now compete in the Munster Final that takes place in Cork. We wish the team and their coach Mr. Dara Fahy the very best in this prestigious event. Beirigí bua!

ART COMPETITON

Well done to 1st year student Keita Zarina and PLC student Michelle Cordial in the Thurles Credit Union Art competition. Following a selection process from an overwhelming number of entries, both Art students now progress to the competition at national level where wish them and their Art teacher Ms. Dorney the best of luck.

CSPE TRIP

Our 3rd year students enjoyed the short trip to Templemore to undertake their CSPE project at the Garda Training College. Feedback was most positive as students were afforded the opportunity to learn first hand about An Garda Síochána in Ireland, their daily challenges, their different units and The Garda Schools Programme.

LANGUAGES WEEK

As part of Languages Week our students were treated to the very best of French cuisine. A selection of decadent foods were sampled including French breads, Goats cheese, Camembert & Brie plus l’escargots (French snails) which went down a treat, une expérience fantastique!
