INDOOR HURLING

John O’Keefe, GAA Youth Development Officer for North Tipperary, is currently running a primary schools indoor hurling event in Nenagh College.  The College is delighted to support this initiative and be able to facilitate it in their large new sports hall with some assistance from transition year students.

The event is aimed at 3rd and 4th class students of primary schools in Nenagh and outlying areas. It will run for one day a week over the next four weeks.  Pupils will get opportunities to develop their hurling skills, be involved in a team event and increase their self-confidence.

John is delighted at the positive response from schools as 37 of the 40 schools invited to participate have agreed to attend.  Pupils from Nenagh CBS primary school were the first to participate on Wednesday, February 25th.  Next week, students from some of the local national schools are scheduled to attend.
