Maths Week took place on 10th to the 18th of October. It had well over a quarter of a million people engaged. This included at least 223,000 pupils doing enriching maths activities in school and on-line. Through media coverage Maths Week reached into every home in the country.
To celebrate in Colaiste Dun Iascaigh, all first year Maths classes took part in a Maths Quiz on Friday 16th of October. The questions involved logic, arithmetic and problem solving. The students worked in teams and all had great fun, especially when they had to think outside the box!
The winners in each class were given prizes and had their photograph taken with Mr. Creedon. A big thank you to Ms. Morrissey’s 5th Year and Transition Year mentors who assisted in running the quiz.
