F1 in Schools:

Gaelcholáiste Chéitinn would like to congratulate TY students Senan Caomhánach, Martha Ní Ghibne, Cáit de Noiréis, Clár de Paor, Jeff Van Dam and Sophie Ní Riain in coming 3rd in the All- Ireland finals in the prestigeous F1 in Schools competition. The team also won the prize for best team website. Twenty six teams competed in the National Final. We are very proud of our students as this is the second time in three years that the school has reached the All – Ireland Finals.

 Poetry:

Joseph Salicram, LC1, Coláiste Chluain Meala featured on RTE Radio One’s “The Poetry Programme” recently reading a poem by Thomas Mac Donagh. Joseph, an all-Ireland semi – finalist in this year’s “Poetry Aloud” competition organised by the National Library and Poetry Ireland, was one of eight students chosen from across Ireland to read on the programme celebrating “The Road to the Rising”. The recording took place in the Peacock Theatre in Dublin on Easter Monday.
