On the 25th March the First Year students at Comeragh College departed for Dingle for a two night stay. The purpose of this trip was to give the students the opportunity to practice their ‘cúpla focail’ and to hear their native tongue being used. The students enjoyed a trip to the Aqua Dome in Tralee en route to Dingle. Each evening the students were given an insight into the traditional Irish culture by taking part in a céilí and quiz as Gaeilge.

On Thursday Morning, the students enjoyed a guided tour of the Dingle peninsula taking in the beautiful scenery. Accompanied by Muiris O’Scanlán, he impressed the students by reciting poems as Gaeilge while also informing them of the local history associated with the Dingle peninsula. On Thursday evening everyone had a great time out on the boats visiting Fungi, who was in very playful form swimming alongside the boats and jumping from the water. On Friday morning the students visited the Aquarium in Dingle before they departed for Carrick-on-Suir. A great trip was had by all.
