COLÁISTE MHUIRE CO-ED THURLES – News 13/10/17

October 25, 2017

GAELIC FOOTBALL:

Colaiste Mhuire U15 FOOTBALLWell done to our u15 footballers on their superb win against Comeragh College in the 1st round of their divisional Munster Cup tie at New Inn. Despite playing against a stiff breeze in the first half we staved off formidable pressure in the early quarter with solid defending from TJ Carroll, Odhran Donaghy, Luke Galvin, Armand Schoeman and the ubiquitous David Doyle. Some well taken scores from Tom Reilly, Eoin Craddock, Ronan Carroll, Gavin Ryan and Shane Turner settled Coláiste Mhuire and created a gap that Comeragh tried hard to close. The final scoreline read 5-07 to 3-04 and sees Coláiste Mhuire progress to the quarter final stage of the Munster Final. Go néirí go geal leo!

HURLING:

colaiste mhuir U15 HURLINGOur u15 hurlers made the short trip to Boherlahan where they played Carrick on Suir CBS in the 1st round of the schools county competition. This was always going to be a tough encounter for Coláiste Mhuire having played in a hard fought match against Comeragh College 24 hours previously. Both sides delivered a fully committed performance with some excellent hurling but ultimately we succumbed on the day to a Carrick side that finished stronger. Beidh lá eile!
