Colaiste Dun Iascaigh student Oisin Moloney received a gold medal from the South-east region of the engineering and Technology Teacher’s Association recently. This award is given out annually to students who achieve among the highest marks in Leaving Certificate Higher Level Engineering examination. Oisin also received a Certificate of Distinction for his Engineering project. Oisin is putting the experience he gained in the Colaiste as he studies for his Degree in Environmental Engineering in Cork Institute of Technology. On receiving his award, Oisin thanked his Engineering teacher Mr. Martin Hurley for his guidance and expertise during his studies in the Colaiste. Mr Hurley reciprocated by praising Oisin’s hard work and dedication which he was sure will see him go on to further success in his field of study.
