Pictured at a special ruby anniversary awards event in the Printworks Room of Dublin Castle celebrating 40 years of Community Training Centres (CTCs) nationwide. Each centre was presented with a specially-commissioned plaque by the Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton TD to commemorate their achievements on behalf of young people. During that time, CTCs have provided over 100,000 learners with the opportunity of second-chance education in making the transition to work or further education, and achieving their dreams. Funded by SOLAS through local Education and Training Boards (ETBs), CTCs are also supported at national level by the Irish Association of Community Training Organisations (IACTO).
