Suzanne McMahon, DP, highlighted the official launch of the school’s Friendship café live on Tipp FM on the morning show on Wednesday 30th September with Fran Curry. Philip Bray, Deputy Director of the Samaritans, Limerick/Tipperary Branch officially opened the Café. This space is a relaxing and warm environment for students to come and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee, partake in board games and perhaps make new friendships. Along with the Library that is opened daily this café is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunchtimes offering students an alternative venue to relax during break times. It is supervised by members of the Care team. The other lunchtimes it is a Seomra Caidrimh, where spoken Irish to improve their oral skills is encouraged while they eat their lunch.
