Christmas is fast approaching!
Borrisokane Community College are delighted to announce, due to its huge success last year, confirmation of the annual German Christmas Market this year. We are hoping that this will be more successful and once again a hugely supported community annual event. It will give local businesses and students the opportunity to display and sell their own handmade crafts and produce.
The event will take place in the school on Thursday 10th December. It will be open to students and parents from 2 pm and the public from 4.00 p.m. – 8.00 p.m. when our Christmas concert is due to begin. This year to cater for our younger visitors, Santa’s Grotto is a new addition. Various fun activities including face painting and a visit to the Grotto will be available after 4pm.
For those who love shopping it’s the chance to browse and enjoy the unique work of local designers, artists, and craftspeople who will be taking part in the school’s celebration of crafts. If shopping just isn’t your thing, think of it as a heaven sent opportunity to buy all your Christmas gifts in a single shopping session! This annual fair will hopefully become an opportunity to showcase local business and student commercial craftwork. Parents, students and business people will be showing and selling top quality goods. The range is dazzling – everything from chocolates to high quality organic meat and vegetables, and because the goods are handmade by craftspeople, they have the added distinction of each one being unique.
