Munster Semi Final:

Hard luck to our u19 soccer squad on their Munster u19 semi-final defeat to Passage West College. This was an eagerly awaited upon clash that witnessed two teams deliver a fully committed and wholehearted exhibition of football. Former All-Ireland champions from 2015, Passage were always going to be formidable opponents and led by 1-0 at the interval. As the second half progressed both sides grew in confidence and began to play with more aplomb. Chances were created at both ends but ultimately, despite a superb Jack Dwan goal, plus excellent performances from Endjys Mikellson, David Manning, Luke Galvin, Aaron Delaney and Aaron Maher we succumbed to a better side on the day on a 4-1 scoreline. Special thanks also to managers Mr. Fahy, and Mr. Butler.

TETB Sports and Cultural Council Quiz:

Congratulations to our Junior and senior quiz teams on their excellent performances in the all county ETB quiz that took place in The Dome. Competition was immense as some thirty tables battled it out to win this year’s title. Well done in particular to our junior team of Ellen Clarke, Kayleigh Cronin, Shane Coady Clancy and Jack Cooney Shorley in coming second place in the junior category.

BT Young Scientist:

Students from 1st, 2nd and Transition years traveled to the RDS last Thursday to view the exhibitions on display at this year’s BT Young Scientist. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance. We also congratulate 2nd year students Cormac Walsh & Rebecca Elphick on their project ‘An Investigation into the properties of cow manure when mixed with concrete’ that was highly praised by the panel of judges.
